Meeting Death - Embracing Life
Immersive weekends of reflection, presence and deep human connection
A month-long solo retreat on Dartmoor changed me deeply. During that time, I lived what I believed was the last day of my life. What emerged was not fear but insight, a clearer sense of quiet forces shaping both our inner lives and the world around us.
When we are not in touch with our mortality, we often live as though death is far away or irrelevant. Also, when we lose connection with our Ancestors, we lose humility, perspective and a felt sense of belonging in the long continuity of life that made our existence possible.
Death and transformation have been constant teachers in my life. Earlier on, working as a forensic scientist, I investigated many violent deaths. Later, through depth therapy, shamanic work, Enlightenment Intensives and plant medicine retreats in South America, I explored death in many other ways — ego death, symbolic death, death and rebirth across lifetimes and the mystery of what remains when familiar identities fall away, what doesn't die.
Out of all of this, I now offer weekend retreats that gently invite participants to turn toward death, not morbidly, but as a pathway into deeper aliveness, clarity, and meaning.
In small groups, we move through a compassionate, trauma-informed, and carefully held process to explore different aspects of death and dying together. Through shared presence, reflection and honest, non judgemental connection, a space opens within where life can be felt more fully.
At its core, this work is both powerful and deeply life-affirming.
The retreats are supported by an experienced team and by the strength of the group itself - through active participation, the co-created community becomes a place of healing, insight and transformation.
These retreats are currently offered to closed groups.
