About

My background in science shaped a naturally curious, non-judgmental way of being. That curiosity gradually led me into my own contemplative practice, which continues to this day, and eventually into Master’s training in Core Process Psychotherapy. I was drawn to this work as a way of understanding myself more deeply and, through that, understanding others. Along the way, I undertook personal psychotherapy of the same type, depth and duration that I now offer to my therapy clients.

Through my training, I learned how suffering arises and had the opportunity to work through some very challenging life experiences of my own. During this period, I went through a shamanic awakening: a remembering of myself as part of Nature and an opening to wider, collective dimensions of experience.

This deepened my interest in awakening which led me further into contemplative practice, as well as participation in plant-medicine retreats in Brazil and Enlightenment Intensives. I have experienced non-duality and a profound sense of connection within the co-arising, intimately woven web of life, as well as some orientation towards awareness itself.

All of this has shaped the way I work. It has given me inner strength, resilience, and steadiness in therapeutic sessions and when holding retreat space. I find it natural to orient toward the basic goodness in others and to trust the inherent wisdom and healing capacity of the unfolding process.

My lived experience shapes the way I work. I meet each person as an individual, allowing my approach to emerge in response to their unique needs, while honouring the interconnection of mind, body, heart, and spirit within the living system of which we are all a part.

Other interests I have include foraging, wild swimming and dancing.

With deep gratitude, I acknowledge my Dzogchen Buddhist teacher, James Low. I am also thankful for the many others who have supported and influenced my path along the way, including Gangaji, Llewelyn Vaughan-Lee, Stanislav Grof, Joanna Macy and Suzi Crockford.
